A wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation, illegibly dated and inscribed. The striking red field features a large rust-colored lion facing right, surrounded by floral sprays, goats, lions, and birds. The ecru border is adorned with well-spaced palmettes, rosettes, and imaginative leaves. Likely a Qashghai piece.
