A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This room-size piece with an ecru ground faithfully carries on the tradition of antique Sultanabads. Lazy torn palmettes, tilted vasiform palmettes, small stems, and leaves are arranged around a central open, concave lozenge and paired along the central axis. The abrash-dyed, strip-style main border in powder tones features palmettes and upright botehs. A successful modern take on a timeless classic.
