A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. In several shades of brown, from beige and tan to bark brown, this village kellegi (long rug) shows offset rows/columns of nested lozenges, within a tan border featuring small diamonds along the sides. Might be Persian from the Greater Hamadan weaving area which has a majority Turkish population. Mellow palette.
