A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The light aqua field displays a three by four array of floating sand octagonal “Memling guls” with rows and columns of small floating squares setting them off. Ecru main border with detached octagons. A post WWII carpet with a contemporary light sensibility. Unusual ground tone makes the piece seem larger.
