A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. One very odd and attractive room size carpet, with a sideways set semi-pictorial red field with scholar’s rock, contorted tree, exuberant flowers and a spindly legged ivory crane. Birds flutter about. Spacious teal border with branches, stems, paeonies, prunus flowers and arrays of more branches. Outer cream T-fret border.
