An antique Indian Amritsar carpet. Two main palmette columns organize the numerous lesser floral devices on the brownfield of this northern Indian medium grade decorative town carpet. The palmettes and flowers are detailed in straw, orange ochre, ivory, and green. The brown border has hints of rust and displays palmettes bracketed with slender, serrated recurving leaves.
