A wool pile on a cotton foundation, the near-black field features a red octogram radiating palmette, with a pendant medallion centered on a multi-petaled rosette. Pale teal quarter-medallion corners complement the design. The abrashed red border is adorned with petal rosettes and a dense floral fill. An excellent reduction of a carpet size to mat dimensions.
