This well-woven NW Persian city carpet shows the classic “book cover” medallion and corners layout, but filled with striped palmettes, ragged palmettes, lancet leaves, and other necessary flora. General brown field with rust undertones. The main border figures oblique acanthus leaves and petal palmettes over a grey field with blue-green undertones.
