An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili carpet. This squarish small rug from the ‘Hajji Jalili’ period of Tabriz weaving – the later 19th century- displays a semi-open field with a pendant salmon medallion and en suite navy corners, all within a medium blue well- colored border of palmettes and leaves. Small, sunburst-like flowers are featured along the inner edges of the corners. A very attractive and well-woven piece with all natural dyes.
