Asymmetric wool knots on an all-cotton foundation. The abrashed slate blue field features four repeats, two inverted, of stylized still life designs depicting objects such as a vase, a thick book, and several ambiguous vessels, some holding prunus branches, all detailed in yellow and light blue. Object still lifes are a Khotan specialty. The yellow main border includes triples of "coins," an inner band of stepped stripes, and an outer band with cloud heads. As new condition.
