Cotton pattern wefts on a cotton warp. This totally reversible flatweave shows a borderless stripe pattern of broad blue-grey bands and narrower ecru stripes with camel-tone edging lines. One side is subtly lighter than the other, but a bit of sunlight can even them out. Dhurries were initially created to provide cool floorcoverings for India’s hot and humid climate, but they are now popular in all seasonal contexts. Always geometric.
