Room size Karaja weavings are uncommon and even more so is one on red rather than blue, such as this example with a three offset column pattern of characteristic octagrams and hooked more-or-less hexagons. Two narrow staves run the field length, punctuated by palmettes, ashiks and rosettes. Navy main border with reversing turtles and small octagrams. Medium weave on cotton. Good condition.
