A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The light red-brown field features a connected chain of fringed diamonds, borrowed from the Herati pattern. Additional elements include bent leaves, rosettes, and small diamonds. This variation of the Herati design is a Malayer specialty. The straw-colored border showcases a continuous meander of fringed, reversing pyramidal palmettes. A flowing border is an unusual feature for this village type.
