A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This horizontal format, long warp kellegi (long rug) shows a near black field with dancing ladies carrying baskets of flowers, flanking two horses on a pavement above and two large dogs on a similar street panel below. Near black main border of rose blossom and leaves modules. The large female figures are probably taken from a 19th century French painting.
