A wool pile with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, the abrashed powder blue-grey field features an angular, discrete Khotanese variation of the Herati design, with small open diamonds, rosettes, and flowering branches, but no lancet leaves. The cream cloud knot border is complemented by a goldenrod outer band with slanting, polychrome rain motifs. The design incorporates the Yun-tsao Tou pattern, with a middle chrome yellow stripe and light blue octagons. In as-new condition.
