This wool pile, with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, features a grey field structured by a square lattice with octogrammes, each sprouting curly ram’s horn projections. Alternatively, the figure/ground relationship shifts to a pattern of volutes and chamfered squares, repeated across the design. The inner border, adorned with floating rosettes, serves as a buffer to the main stripe, which is framed by polychrome cloud heads.
