A Wool pile of symmetric knots on cotton. This village rug features a design inspired by European sources, starting with a 2/1/2 arrangement of rose bouquets on a near-black field. The design continues with an inner, broad red and ecru paneled border adorned with additional semi-realistic bouquets. The central bouquet is set against a red background with a marigold frame. An outer marigold border showcases highly stylized flower and stem motifs, while a looped interior border completes the Western-inspired aesthetic.
