A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A visual pair to rug # 26437. Eight finger fringed ascending palmettes run up the middle of each of this pair of west Persian kenares (runners) with offset columns of en suite half palmettes along the sides. Intermittent leaf lattice and sienna corners. Saraband-style main ecru borders with angular meander and pendant botehs. Intact pairs are rather uncommon, most have been divided for ease of sale.
